ION SKYE: Flying Roadster is my fan-made animated remake of the stunts from the real Tesla Roadster unveil: the car climbs a giant curved wall and hangs upside down, then flies over a row of Tesla cars on thrusters and kickflips. I redrew it as a family animated movie with car characters, made with Blender, Tripo, Dreamina (Seedance 2.5) and AI image tools, and I turned the same scene into a free browser game with 4 stages that you can play right here. The Blender scene went from 225.4 MB to a 14.5 MB file for the web. Game page: kartit.net/ion-skye. This post shows the game, the making-of step by step and the prompts you can reuse.

TL;DR

  • One white sports car character, Ion Skye, and a family of 4 car characters.
  • 2 stunts from the real event, redrawn as an animated movie: the wall hang and the kickflip over the family.
  • 4 playable stages in your browser, on a computer or a phone.
  • 225.4 MB of Blender scene squeezed into a 14.5 MB file for the web.
  • 2 movie clips from Dreamina’s Seedance 2.5; the 10 s intro test cost 150 credits.
  • 2 prompts below that you can copy for your own animated car scene.

Play it now

This is the real game, running in your browser. Press play, pick a stage, and drive. Works on phones, best with a keyboard: arrows to drive, Space thruster jump, Q / E barrel roll, Shift boost.

Keyboard: ↑ ↓ ← → (or W A S D) drive · Space thruster jump · Q / E barrel roll · Shift boost · C camera · P pause · M mute

Phone: turn it sideways. The stick on the left drives; the buttons on the right jump, roll and boost.

The game page also has a Watch button that plays the Blender version of the two stunts, and a share button once you finish a stage.

What are the 4 stages?

Each stage is one moment of the movie that you drive yourself.

StageNameWhat you do
1The WallHit the curved wall at 70 km/h or more, climb it, hang upside down, let go with Space in the green zone, roll upright with Q / E and land level.
2The KickflipLift off on the blue mark (hold Space to climb), barrel roll with Q / E above the Semi and land past the family. A perfect takeoff is worth 500 points.
3Race the FamilyThree laps of the night circuit against Model 3, Model Y, Cybertruck and Semi. Shift boosts, Space jumps the corners.
4Free FlightFly through the glowing rings over the arena, in order, before the clock runs out. Hold Space to fly, A / D to turn.

Watch the movie

The animated movie is coming to my YouTube channel, @anasskartit. It opens with Ion Skye waking up in a dark arena and taking off, then replays both stunts, then shows the game.

How was ION SKYE made? The making-of, step by step

Seven tools, one after the other. Each one did one job.

1. Draw the characters: ChatGPT Images and Nano Banana

ChatGPT Images (the picture maker inside ChatGPT) drew Ion Skye from four sides, plus a sheet of eye expressions. Nano Banana (Google’s AI image tool) drew the three-quarter hero picture and turned photos of four real cars into the family: Semi, Cybertruck, Model Y and Model 3, each with big eyes on the windshield and a mouth on the bumper, in the same animated-movie style.

2. Turn the pictures into 3D: Tripo

Tripo is a website that turns a picture into a 3D model you can move and light, like a toy you can spin around. I gave it the front, left, back and right views of Ion Skye. The result is not as polished as a model made by hand by a 3D artist, but good enough for a movie scene and a game.

3. Build and animate the scene: Blender, driven by Claude

Blender is a free app for building and animating 3D scenes. I did not click through it by hand: Claude (Anthropic’s AI assistant) drove it through Blender MCP, a free add-on that lets an AI assistant press Blender’s buttons for you. Together we built the night arena, the giant curved wall with its red light strips, the row of family cars, the four blue thrusters under Ion Skye, the cameras and the smoke.

4. Make the movie clips: Dreamina and Seedance 2.5

Dreamina is ByteDance’s AI video website (ByteDance makes TikTok and CapCut), and Seedance 2.5 is the video model inside it: you give it a picture and a description, it gives you a short movie clip. It made two clips: the intro, where Ion Skye wakes up and lifts off, and the jump over the family. For the jump, I gave it a short clip of the real stunt for the movement and the camera only, plus pictures of my characters. The 10 second, 480p test of the intro cost 150 Dreamina credits (my counter went from 701 to 551 on 23 October 2026). The jump clip’s cost was not logged.

5. Draw the title logo: Codex

Codex (OpenAI’s coding assistant, which can also draw pictures) made the chrome and blue ION SKYE / FLYING ROADSTER title. It sits on the last frame of the intro, where the prompt asked Seedance to leave a clean dark sky.

6. Edit the movie: HyperFrames

HyperFrames is a video editor where the video is built like a web page. It put the Blender shots, the two Seedance clips, the title, the music and the sound effects on one timeline.

7. Make it playable: three.js

three.js is a free code library that draws 3D inside a web browser. The game uses the same Blender scene, exported to the web. The export weighed 225.4 MB, far too heavy for a web page. A first compressed version came to 37.7 MB; the file the game loads now is 14.5 MB, so it starts faster on phones.

The prompts you can reuse

Both prompts are for Seedance 2.5 in Dreamina, 16:9, 10 seconds. Test at 480p first; it is the cheapest way to see if the motion works. I removed brand names so you can drop in your own character.

Prompt 1: the movie title intro (first frame = your hero car picture)

A fully stylized 3D CGI animated family racing movie opening sequence, premium animated-film look, not photoreal.
Starts on Image 1 exactly: the white sports car character waits in a dark night arena.
0-3 s: thin red light strips on the floor ignite one by one toward the camera; the car's blue windshield eyes open,
look straight at the camera and narrow into a confident smirk; its headlight bar flares.
3-6 s: it revs, four blue-white hover thrusters ignite under the car, mist blasts across the wet floor, the car lifts
off the ground, the world's first flying car.
6-10 s: it rockets toward and over the camera, the camera whips around and follows it soaring above the glowing arena
in a graceful barrel roll, thruster trails curling, then it races away into the night sky leaving a light streak.
Rich animated-film lighting, anamorphic lens flares, glossy reflections. Leave clean dark sky for a title at the end.
Sound: deep cinematic hit, engine rev, thruster roar, whoosh. No text, no logos, no letters, no watermark.

Prompt 2: the jump over the family (one reference clip + 7 pictures)

Upload, in this order: Video 1, a 10 second reference clip of the stunt you want to copy (for movement and camera only). Images 1 to 3: your hero car from three-quarter, side and rear. Images 4 to 7: the four family characters.

Asset mapping:
Video 1: use ONLY its action paths, camera movement, timing and framing. Do not copy the look of its real cars,
its people, its watermark or its audio.
Images 1-3: the hero car character (three-quarter, side and rear views). Keep its exact angular low wedge body,
pearl white paint with gloss black lower body and roof, blue windshield eyes, confident smirk on the front bumper,
thin blue accent line and copper-accent rims.
Image 4: the big white semi-truck character. Image 5: the stainless-steel angular pickup character.
Image 6: the dark grey crossover character. Image 7: the dark grey sedan character.
Keep each one's shape and original color.

Brief: Fully re-render Video 1 while preserving its action paths, camera movement, timing and framing exactly,
as a scene from a premium 3D animated family racing movie in a night arena.

Timeline:
0-4 s: the hero car (Images 1-3) drives AWAY from the camera down the white center line, rear light bar glowing red;
the arena floodlights snap on one by one.
4-7 s: in front of the parked row (Images 4-7, facing the camera, eyes wide), the hero launches on four blue-white
thrusters, flips nose-over-tail high above the semi truck; its face shows mid-flip, grinning.
7-10 s: it lands once in front of the row, rear to the camera, into a huge white and pink burnout smoke cloud;
the parked characters cheer.

Global: one continuous shot, no cuts. Rich animated-film lighting, red light strips, volumetric smoke.
Thruster roar, tire squeal, crowd cheer, no music, no dialogue. No text, no subtitles, no watermark.

Why it works: the reference clip gives the model the exact motion and camera of the real stunt, and the pictures give it the look. Saying “use ONLY its action paths” stops it from copying the real cars.

FAQ

What is ION SKYE: Flying Roadster? A fan-made animated remake of the stunts from the real Tesla Roadster unveil (the wall hang and the thruster kickflip over a row of Tesla cars), redrawn as a family animated movie with car characters, plus a free browser game of the same scene. Not affiliated with Tesla.

Can I play the ION SKYE game? Yes, free, above or at kartit.net/games/ion-skye. The game page is kartit.net/ion-skye. It works on phones, but it is best with a keyboard: arrows to drive, Space for the thruster jump, Q and E to barrel roll, Shift to boost.

Which AI tools made it? ChatGPT Images and Nano Banana for the characters, Tripo for the 3D models, Blender driven by Claude through Blender MCP for the scene and animation, Dreamina’s Seedance 2.5 for two movie clips, Codex for the logo, HyperFrames for the edit and three.js for the game.

How much did it cost? The only cost I logged is the intro clip: 150 Dreamina credits for a 10 second, 480p test. The other costs were not logged, so I do not quote them.

How big is the game? The Blender scene was 225.4 MB. A first web version was 37.7 MB, and the file the game loads now is 14.5 MB.

My take

The real Roadster stunt is already a movie scene: a car on a wall, upside down, then flying. Redrawing it as an animated film was mostly a matter of giving it a face and a family. The part I enjoyed most was the last step: the same Blender scene that made the movie became a game in the browser, so the stunt you watch is also the stunt you can try to land yourself. Stage 1 is harder than it looks. Tell me your score.
